When the city of Reno donated some valuable real estate to the University of Nevada Reno, the former head pro at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course fought to have a top-notch golf course built. The end result was Wolf Run Golf Club, which in a decade has taken its spot as one of the best courses in the golf-diverse High Sierra region.
With spectacularly managed fairways and consistent conditioning, Wolf Run has been a favorite of local golfers, and is the host to many college golf tournaments every year. And while the course won't gobble up your golf balls with hazards, the tricky greens mean you'll have to handle a putter to get a good score.
As Reno has quickly become a top golf destination on the West Coast, Wolf Run has been part of its growth, as it offers low green fees, great service and a challenging play for nearly any level of golfer.
